Trio, White Gold

Trio, White Gold

A Trio in white gold, 1 of just 10 made. The Trio was Vianney Halter’s third model, aspiring toward a distinctly futuristic aesthetic as imagined by the past. This retro-futurist aesthetic is realized in separated porthole apertures, where each digit of the date receives its own display. This requires more than 50 tiny white gold rivets, all hand pressed. Its calibre VH205 is unique, beautifully hand-finished in a comparably distinct style, utilizing a hidden sapphire-disc winding mass. The Trio was heavily influenced by science fiction, space exploration, prototype submarines, and the novels of Jules Verne. It is a time machine which aspires to transport the wearers mind elsewhere. In Halters own words, ‘When I’m making a watch, I’m working on this small dream, and even if it’s not possible to travel in time, with this tool, or instrument, you can dream.’
