An SLGH007, a platinum Hi-Beat in a limited edition of 140 examples made to celebrate the 140th Anniversary of Seiko. The SLGH007 features a black dial with a ‘Tree Ring’ texture, micro-textured and varying in tone from anthracite to grey. This dial is not pressed in the way that many Grand Seiko dials are, but painstakingly engraved. The calibre 9SA5 features a dual impulse escapement, twin barrels, and hand finishing at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio. This was the flagship debut of Grand Seiko’s new Series 9 design, a modern case with extremely nuanced details. Even the clasp is full platinum, with a strap made entirely within Japan.
