5004R, Perpetual Calendar Split Seconds Chronograph, Pink Gold

5004R, Perpetual Calendar Split Seconds Chronograph, Pink Gold

A ref. 5004R, the first production Perpetual Calendar Split Seconds Chronograph, an ultimate conclusion to the development of complicated Lemania architecture. Out of an estimated 1000 examples, only 200 ref. 5004s are thought to be in pink gold, rarer than both platinum and yellow gold. This 5004R is preserved in exceptional condition that would be described by many as unworn, and though it has been technically worn there aren't so much as hairlines under a microscope. Reportedly hailed by Philippe Stern as the 'spiritual successor to the 2499', the 5004 is easily amongst the most important and desirable Patek Philippe models ever made. The 5004 represents everything that Patek Philippe were at their very best.
